3 Tips For Studying At Home

Dedicated Study Space:

If you chose to do the majority of your study at home, it's important to create a dedicated study space for yourself. This could even be a desk or table in the corner of a room which you use exclusivly for studying. Try not to study in the same area you would use to do other activities such as play video games as your more likley to get distracted.

Stay Connected:

Studying from home can stop your peers from distracting you, but you can quickly become isolated if you let yourself become completely disconnected. Try to speak with your classmates and teachers regularly to make sure you stay up to date with your course work. If you study from home regularly, you can use email, zoom, discussion boards and other messaging applications to keep yourself connected with your friends and teachers.

Establish A Routine:

To minimise procrastination at home, make sure to establish your own study routine as early as possible. Plan out your week in advance and take note of when you have free time to study. Make sure that the routine you set out for yourself is achievable and allows you sufficient time to do other things that you enjoy. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is vital in order to maximise study efficiency and avoid burnout.
