Deciding on what career path to pursue and choosing the appropriate 3rd Level course can be a daunting experience for students. A significant part of the service at the Academy is the provision of Career Guidance and CAO advice. Our Career Guidance Advisor, Liz Carey, is available to provide advice and information on choosing college courses and potential career options on a one-to-one basis to all our 5th and 6th Year students. Liz is also available to assist with college applications and references as required. Parents are also invited to take part in the Career Guidance process if they so wish.
With over 15 years experience in Education, Liz Carey joined our team in 2016 and is the Career Guidance Counsellor at The Dublin Academy of Education. Holding a B.Sc (Mgmt) Honours Degree from Trinity College along with a Post Graduate Degree in Guidance & Counselling from Maynooth University, Liz has a passion for education and career guidance and is committed to working closely with our students, providing support and assistance in choosing their college and university courses and career options. Offering one-to-one Career Guidance meetings to all 5th and 6th year students, Liz also supports students with their CAO, UCAS and other college applications assisting them with their personal statements and academic references.
