Weekly Grind
5th Year
Dr. Nichola Walsh
Nichola has a first class honours degree in chemistry and Ph.D. from U.C.D. and she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Oxford. She is an experienced teacher who has taught G.C.S.E, A-level, and Leaving Certificate chemistry and was an undergraduate chemistry tutor and lab demonstrator in U.C.D. She is a passionate teacher who loves teaching science and this comes across in her classes. Nichola is also an examiner for higher level chemistry, which has given her an invaluable insight into grading the chemistry paper. She regularly incorporates this knowledge into her classes to ensure students maximise their marks.
“Nichola is hands down the best teacher i have seen since i started secondary school. Her knowledge of the exam paper and the detail required is exceptional. The way in which she emphasises certain topics gives the student a crystal clear idea of what is important and what is not. Her notes are again, the best I have ever seen and I have had many notes in many subjects off many different teachers. They are by far the best. Well done and thanks a mil!”
