Biology
Ciara is a dedicated Biology teacher with a strong academic background in both Biology and Mathematics. She graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Science Education, specialising in Biology. She subsequently completed a Master of Science in Mathematics, Science and Education, graduating with First Class Honours.
Ciara's teaching focuses on helping students develop both a deep understanding of biological concepts and the skills required to excel in Leaving Certificate Biology. She places a strong emphasis on exam technique, guiding students through a range of question styles, marking schemes and effective strategies for approaching examinations. By breaking complex topics into manageable steps and encouraging students to actively engage with their learning, she helps students cultivate a deeper understanding of Biology and achieve their full academic potential.
With Mathematics as her second teaching subject, Ciara brings particular expertise to areas of the Biology course involving data analysis, graph interpretation and experimental investigations. She supports students in strengthening the analytical and problem-solving skills required to tackle these aspects of the course with clarity and accuracy.
