What are the Major Exam Topics Series? 

The Exam Topic Series is designed to give students a powerful academic reset just before the school year begins.

 

Each class is 60/75 minutes in duration and focuses on high-impact topics from the subject, selected by our expert teachers based on its importance, difficulty, or frequency in State Exams.

 

Here’s what you can expect:

 

Key Topics Per Class

Each teacher selects priority topics to help you build confidence and clarity in that subject.

 

Up to 2.5 Hours of Free Tuition

You can register for up to two different subjects, giving you access to up to 150 minutes of
expert-led learning, completely free.

 

Free H1-Level Study Notes

All students receive high-quality notes designed to support focused revision – downloadable
for online students or provided in class for in-person attendees.

 

Attend In-Person or Online

Join us at our Blackrock campus or via HD Live-Stream from anywhere in Ireland. All
sessions are taught live – with no pre-recorded content.

Gavin Cowzer

Gavin’s integration of language-learning skills based on the acquisition of language, such as phonics, provides all students with a strong foundation ensuring that they achieve the best possible grades in exams.

Gavin Cowzer is considered to be one of the leading English teachers in Ireland. Having a strong passion for the subjects, including obtaining a Master’s degree, Gavin’s style of teaching covers the syllabus in a clear and concise way, giving students the tools they need to successfully manage the likely exam questions. He has experience correcting exams, which gives his students an edge in a subject which is often assumed to be an art. Over the years, Gavin has developed a strict method to doing well in the English exam, which consistently helps his students reach great results. He has also been an expert contributor on Leaving Cert English for RTÉ Radio.

Where can you attend these courses?

You can experience our live and interactive free courses by attending classes either:

 

In-Person: We offer on-site classroom-based free courses in our Blackrock location.

 

Online: We also offer you the option of attending our free courses via live-stream meaning you can participate from anywhere in Ireland.

 

Regardless of which option you select, you will be able to interact with our teachers and ask questions. Leaving Cert weekly grinds are 75 minutes in duration and Junior Cert grinds are 60 minutes in duration. All classes are accompanied by our renowned Dublin Academy study notes. If you opt for online grinds, our study notes will be available by email prior to the class.

 

The foundation of our grinds is ‘exam focus’. Our teachers strip away the unnecessary sections of each subject and focus solely on the core, examinable material, the aim of which is increasing your exam performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the courses be taking place at the school in person?

Most of our Exam Topic Series sessions will be taking place in our school in Blackrock.
However, there are some sessions that are online or in-person only. Please check when booking your place on the website.

Can you do these courses if you can't make it to the Dublin location?

Yes, in some cases, you can watch the classes online via live-stream from the comfort of your own home. However, this depends on the session so check when booking your place.

If I'm attending via live-stream, how do I get my notes?

Students will be able to access soft copies of our renowned notes which will be provided prior to course commencement. Students can save these notes and refer to them throughout the courses.

How will I access the live-stream of the H1 Topic Series?

Our Exam Topic Series will be hosted online. Prior to your online course commencement date, we will provide details and instruction to access the course.
