Weekly Grinds Running as Normal
In light of the recent government announcement this week, we wanted to let you know we will be running our Weekly Classroom-based Grinds in Stillorgan and Killester as normal.
Education is deemed an essential service so classes are continuing to operate over the coming weeks.
To share a quote from Minister for Education Norma Foley’s press release on 19th October:
Our school communities have put enormous effort and energy into reopening our schools and keeping them safe over the first half of this term. Transmission rates of COVID-19 in schools are low, much lower than the rate currently in the community. This is a result of the effectiveness of the public health guidelines for schools and the successful implementation and adherence of all in the school community to the guidelines.
At the Dublin Academy of Education we have made significant investments to ensure our school is safe for both our students and our staff.
Students are required to wear face coverings during their time at our school. We are fortunate that we have large, well-ventilated classrooms that can accommodate safe distances between students. In addition to this, to facilitate effective social distancing, we have also significantly reduced the capacity in our Weekly Grinds. We have also implemented a robust cleaning regime, by which the entire school is cleaned thoroughly three times a day, especially both before and after grinds.
