Art

Andrew is a graduate from the National College of Art and Design and holds an honours degree in Art Education, specialising in Fine Art painting. He has achieved success as an artist and portrait painter, with commissioned works gracing the walls of public buildings in Dublin, London, New York and Tokyo, as well as painting self-portraits for renowned public figures, and illustrating children’s books.

He has an extensive, in-depth knowledge of the Leaving Certificate course content and his work as an artist and illustrator has given him a unique perspective to impart to students under his tutelage. Andrew’s students consistently achieve H1 grades at Leaving Certificate level – more than three times the national average in the subject. Consequently, he has acquired a reputation for an aptitude in guiding students to achieve their full potential in the subject. By recognising and nurturing students’ individual abilities, he encourages budding artists to apply their strengths in an exam context in order to maximise their grades.
