Students at our August Preparation Courses will receive:

- Our H1 study notes that our expert teachers have created on the topics you need to know for the Junior Cycle.

- 4 Hours of expert tuition with some of Ireland’s most dedicated and passionate teachers per subject.

- A headstart on your subject that will give you confidence for the upcoming academic year.

Our August Preparation Courses run over four days, Monday 18th August - Thursday 21st August. These August Prep Courses can be attended In-Person in Blackrock or Online via Live-Stream.

Matt Curran

Matt is a dedicated Chemistry and Biology teacher with a strong academic foundation, holding degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Sports Science and Human Health, along with a Professional Master of Education from the esteemed Science with Education program at Maynooth University.

With extensive teaching experience, Matt has held multiple assistant principal roles and is a long-standing member of the Irish Science Teachers’ Association. He is passionate about inspiring a love of science and a commitment to lifelong learning in his students.

A goal-driven educator, Matt excels at making complex scientific concepts accessible by connecting them to real-world contexts. He places students at the centre of his teaching, tailoring lessons to individual needs and implementing both content-rich and exam-focused strategies to help each learner achieve their full potential, both in the Leaving Certificate and beyond.

Yes, all of our August Prep courses will be taking place in our school in Blackrock. Students can also attend courses online via live-stream.

Can you do these courses if you can't make it to the Dublin location?

Yes, you can watch the classes online via live-stream from the comfort of your own home.

If I'm attending via live-stream, how do I get my notes?

Students will be able to access soft copies of our renowned notes through our secure DASH learning platform. Students can save these notes and refer to them throughout the courses.

How will I access the live-stream of the August Prep Courses?

You will access the live-stream August Prep Courses via our online learning management system, DASH (Dublin Academy School Hub). We will send you login details for this platform in advance of your course.
