“When I started The Dublin Academy last September I hadn’t studied Irish in 20 years, so it was particularly daunting to begin with. I came to the course with little Irish, yet by the following February I had passed the TEG Oral Irish exam.

What became clear even after the first class, was that our teacher Rónán, had a very clear exam focused path, that if followed would lead us to success. This course is about putting your time and energy into the right areas, studying smart and laying the foundations to build up your Irish to the required level. Rónán is a skilled teacher. He is easy to understand and follow, yet still gets through a vast amount in his class. His notes are superb, which leaves you with plenty to be getting on with in between classes. There’s also wonderful, additional support from Liz, that’s directly targeted at the Irish for Primary teaching class. It’s a separate class where you can zone in on the Irish that’s specific for us. Liz was always willing to help any of us out and corrected vast amount of work for me, they are a phenomenal tag team!

Obviously this year was particularly challenging with Covid 19. The Dublin Academy however are extremely well set up in terms of delivering high quality online classes. I enjoyed these tremendously as you could pause and rewind them and work at your own time and pace. I honestly would have no hesitation in recommending this course to anyone. It is undoubtedly a committment but if you are willing to put in the time and effort, you will achieve the desired results. The very best of luck to all embarking on this exciting journey. ‘ Go n-éirí an bóthar leat’.”

“I attended your Higher Level Irish grinds for the Leaving Certificate last year. I am delighted to say I passed the exams and got a B2. Furthermore, I have been accepted into Hibernia College and I am pursuing my dream of becoming a primary school teacher. I would like to say a huge thank you for all your support, encouragement and advice throughout the course which has helped me achieve this goal. I am truly thankful to both you and your colleague for the extra time you both gave me throughout the year.”
Ailish McKenna 2016/17

“I got a B in Ordinary Level Irish in my Leaving Cert in 2008. So it’s safe to say when I started with Rónán in September last year I had very little confidence in my ability. After a few months of hard work and Rónán’s encouragement and support everything turned around. I’m now in Hibernia and I have Rónán to thank for that.”
Stephen Flood 2014/15

“Thank you so much for all of your support. I got a B2 and I couldn’t be happier.”
