About these Free Courses
Recently, due to demand, we launched a second location offering Weekly Grinds classes in Killester, North Dublin. To celebrate the launch of our new North Dublin location, we are holding FREE 90 MINUTE CLASSES in a wide range of subjects for 3rd, 5th and 6th Year students. These FREE 90 Minute Courses are designed to give students an insight into the unrivalled exam preparation that we provide at The Dublin Academy of Education. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample first hand the quality of our teachers, their engaging teaching styles and their sought after exam-focused study notes, all free of charge.

Economics Online Grinds Teacher Rob Quinlan Meet your teacher – Rob Quinlan: With a master’s degree in economics along with correcting the Leaving Cert at state level for the past 6 years, Rob instils passion, interest and competence in students to obtain results of which they are capable. A methodical approach in making the subject relevant to students by understanding the economic climate around them is merged with the tools to navigate through all possible questions as proficiently as possible in exams. Rob has also 5 years’ experience as an Irish oral examiner as well as teaching and tutoring in UCD and Irish summer courses.

This course will offer students the chance to gain more insight into two of the most important parts of the written exam – the opinion piece and the diary entry. Students will learn how these questions are marked, as well as go through sample answers and ways to optimize their own marks in their final exams.

Topic Covered in this Free Leaving Cert Maths Online Course: Exponential function

The course will cover a topic which has frequently appeared as a long question on Paper 1. After briefly reviewing the basics, we will work up to some tricky exam-style questions in a ‘from the ground up’ approach that will help students get on top of the material.

Meet your teacher – David Lewis: David’s ability to relate to students has resulted in him becoming a popular teacher at The Academy. His teaching methods are unique and are tailored to the Maths Syllabus. David is a member of the Irish Mathematics Teachers’ Association and is specialised in providing students with a clear, fundamental understanding of the syllabus. As an examination corrector in Maths, David is adept at understanding the mistakes for which students frequently lose marks.
