4th Year FREE Back to School Courses

We understand that students have missed a lot of school time over the last two academic years, and with this in mind, we have designed Free Back to School Courses to help students in all years get back on track.

Students can experience these live and interactive FREE Back to School Courses by attending either:

  • On-site: We offer on-site classroom-based courses from our Stillorgan and Killester venues.
  • Online via Live-stream: We also offer students the option of attending these courses via live-stream meaning they can participate from anywhere in Ireland.

The aim of these Back to School Courses is to ensure that students are ready to hit the ground running in the new academic year.

Key information:

  • Each Free Course is 1.25 hours in duration and students can register for two courses. This gives students up to 2.5 hours of free tuition with some of Ireland’s most passionate and dedicated teachers.
  • Each Free Course covers a key area of the course providing valuable insights for students. For more information on specific course content see the ‘Subjects’ tab.
  • All courses come with our renowned study notes which students can download free of charge.

Transition Year students will be introduced to the Leaving Cert syllabus for Higher Level English. We will look at the marking scheme for English and highlight the key terms every student needs to be successful in this subject. Finally, we will examine the Poetry Section and look at some exam answers. This course will provide all students with some valuable information giving them a head-start for 5th Year.

He also works as an Examiner for the State Exams Commission (SEC) specialising in Leaving Certificate English. His continued work with the SEC means he can provide the most relevant notes and guidance to students on current exam trends, exam management, tips and preparation. JP has written and published work with The Educational Company of Ireland. His passion for English is evident through classes that are enjoyable and rewarding.

Topic Covered in this Back to School Course: Complex Numbers

Students will be introduced to a brand new topic for them, Complex Numbers which is traditionally worth 4% of their Leaving cert paper. David will explain the well known Dublin Academy of Education’s methods to learning Maths and show them how any student can achieve fantastic results in exams with the correct strategic preparation.

Students will be able to access soft copies of our renowned notes through our secure Dublin Academy Study Hub learning platform. Students can save these notes and refer to them throughout the courses.
