5th Year August Preparation Courses

Who are these August Preparation Courses for?
These courses are designed for students who are entering either 5th Year in the 2021/22 academic year. They will give students a chance to make sure they know some of the key topics on their course so they are ready for returning to school in September 2021.

What is the format of these courses?
Each course takes place over one week and students can attend in Stillorgan or via live-stream.

Will there be study notes?
Yes. All students will receive hard copies of our notes.

Nichola Walsh Chemistry Teacher Dublin Academy of EducationMeet your Chemistry Teacher – Dr. Nichola Walsh: Nichola Walsh has a first-class honours degree in chemistry and Ph.D. from U.C.D. and she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Oxford.  She is an experienced teacher who has taught G.C.S.E, A-level, and Leaving Certificate chemistry and was an undergraduate chemistry tutor and lab demonstrator in U.C.D.  She is a passionate teacher who loves teaching science and this comes across in her classes.  Nichola is also an examiner for higher-level Leaving Cert Chemistry, which has given her an invaluable insight into grading the chemistry paper.  She regularly incorporates this knowledge into her classes to ensure students maximise their marks.
