At The Dublin Academy of Education, students are supported to achieve their full potential through a focused, academically rigorous, and personally empowering experience. If you’re exploring options for senior cycle, our Open Evening is the perfect opportunity to see what makes The Academy different.
Whether you're currently in 4th, 5th or 6th Year, or a parent considering the best next step, this event offers insight into our Full-Time School and the values that guide everything we do.
What to Expect
On the night, you’ll hear directly from our Principal, JP Sweetman, our experienced Admissions Team, our Guidance Cousellor, Kay Lynch and a current student at The Academy. Each speaker will provide a clear view of how The Academy works from the academic structure to student life and the supports available throughout the senior cycle.
A New Pathway: 4th Year at The Academy (from 2026)
We’re proud to introduce our brand-new 4th Year Full-Time Programme, launching in September 2026 at our state-of-the-art campus in Blackrock, Co. Dublin.
This academically focused Transition Year will give students a head start on Leaving Cert preparation, while also nurturing independence, ambition and personal growth. With small class sizes, flexible timetables, and a balance of core subjects, lab sciences, personal development modules and career exploration, our 4th Year offering is both structured and tailored to the needs of each student. Applications are now open for 2026–27, and places are extremely limited. A waiting list will apply once full.
