At The Dublin Academy of Education, our mission has always been clear: to deliver the very best in secondary education, empowering students to reach their full potential in the Junior and Leaving Certificate. With our upcoming move to Blackrock, we are taking that commitment to excellence to an entirely new level.
This exciting development was recently featured in The Sunday Times (Linda Daly, August 7, 2025), which highlighted The Academy’s growth story, our significant investment in new facilities, and our vision for the future of independent education in Ireland.
A €7 Million Investment in Education Excellence
Our new home represents a €7 million redevelopment designed specifically for student success. Located in the landmark Frascati House, the state-of-the-art five-storey campus will feature:
22 purpose-built classrooms equipped for modern teaching.
Stunning views of the Irish Sea and Dublin Mountains, creating an inspiring environment for learning.
A capacity for 500 students, almost doubling our current space.
Premium facilities for both students and staff, reflecting the professional standards we hold ourselves to.
This move is more than just bricks and mortar, it is a long-term investment in the future of our students. By taking a 25-year lease, we are ensuring that families who choose the Dublin Academy can do so with confidence in our stability and vision.
Why Blackrock? Accessibility for Families
With 74% of our students living along the Dart line, our new Blackrock campus is perfectly positioned to make daily life easier for families. For the first time, we can also welcome students from north Dublin, expanding our community and reach.
Results That Speak for Themselves
Since our founding in 2010, The Academy has grown from a small grinds centre to one of Ireland’s most respected independent schools. Our formula for success is simple but powerful:
Expert teaching from Ireland’s leading educators.
Small class sizes, averaging just 27 students, ensuring every child receives the attention they deserve.
A results-driven approach, backed by world-class study resources and modern facilities.
Our students consistently achieve top results in the Junior and Leaving Certificate, opening doors to the universities and career paths they aspire to.

A Wider Vision for Education
The Dublin Academy of Education is now part of the Axis Education Group, which also includes Independent College, International House Dublin, and Public Affairs Ireland. This partnership allows us to pool resources, attract world-class talent, and continuously invest in innovation, all to the benefit of our students.
Our Commitment to Families
We understand that choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. At The Dublin Academy of Education, we combine the ambition of a leading independent school with the warmth of a close-knit community. Every decision we make, from our investment in facilities to the quality of our teachers, is guided by one goal: to help your child succeed.
As we prepare to open our doors in Blackrock, we look forward to welcoming a new generation of students and families to a school that is setting a new standard for independent education in Ireland.
